High Protein Recipes Without Protein Powder

Is it possible to make high protein recipes like protein shakes without protein powder? If you don’t have protein powder yet, or you’re looking for a more natural, less processed approach to boosting your protein intake, you might be wondering this. The answer is yes, but it comes at a bit of a cost.

Protein shakes recipes without protein powder, and other high protein no powder recipes are possible, but they won’t be as high in protein, and they will be higher in carbs and higher in fat. Unless you’re putting meat into your protein baking recipes (eww!) you won’t be able to achieve the same amount of protein as if you had used a protein powder. The naturally high protein ingredients you’ll be using instead are certainly going to add a lot of nutrients, so that’s a plus, but it will be a lot harder to also keep the fat and carb content down if that’s important to you, so keep that in mind.

That being said, dairy, eggs, soy, nuts, seeds, beans, and veggies all have relatively high protein contents and can be used instead of protein powder to up your protein intake by adding them to shakes, smoothies, and baked goods.
