  • Hi Angie!

Have you tried baking with beef protein powders before? Was thinking about some triple-sinful chocolate protein brownies and was wondering if maybe a beef protein powder would be a good match!

    • Hey Erik, I haven’t tried beef protein powder yet, but when I do I’ll let you know how it goes!

  • Hi i love the website. Is it anyway possible to make a high in protein cookie or muffin without using any protein powder?

    • It will be easier to make high protein muffins without protein powder than it will be to make cookies that way. They’ll never be as high protein as when using protein powder, but if you use naturally high protein ingredients like plain greek yogurt or soy milk, nuts and seeds etc, you can have good results. Cookies are basically different combinations of fat, sugar, and flour, so it is difficult to substitute in as much naturally high protein ingredients while still keeping the same texture you might hope for. I’ll experiment a bit with both at some point and post the recipes on my Recipes Without Protein Powder page.

  • Great blog! Do you have any helpful hints for aspiring writers?

I’m hoping to start my own blog soon but I’m a little lost
on everything. Would youu propose starting with a free platform like Wordpress oor go for a paid option? There
are so many choices outt there tjat I’m completely overwhelmed ..
    Any recommendations? Kudos!

    • Sorry it’s taken so long for me to reply! I wish I had some great advise to give, but I am very much still figuring this out myself! I chose a paid platform for my blog because it leaves more room for customization and growth, but as a downside, it can take a bit longer to set up. I am not super technically proficient, however I was able to set up this Wordpress based blog hosted by Bluehost on my own without too much aggravation. The content however takes a lot of time, so no matter what you choose to do, if you keep your focus there, you’re on the right track. Design and widgets etc are great but content is king. Best of luck!

  • Hello, I think your blog might be having browser compatibility issues.

When I look at your blog in Firefox, it looks fine but when opening in Internet Explorer,
it has some overlapping. I just wanted to give you a quick heads up!
    Other then that, excellent blog!

    • Thanks for the heads up! I’ll look into that. Glad you enjoy the blog, the technical part isn’t exactly my forte so I appreciate you bringing the internet explorer compatibility issue to my attention :)

  • Hi Angie,

Great job on your website it looks great!

  • I am such a huuuuuge fan of a bunch of the protein recipes you’ve got here! I’ve only tried a handful of them but I know I will be trying a lot a lot more. I wish you could move into my house and cook for me! Haha

    • Thanks Rozy! I wonder if protein cookies could survive vacuum sealed and sent in the mail haha, I just made an awesome batch of peanut butter cookies that I think you’d love! Otherwise I guess I’ll just have to move in ;)

  • I totally enjoyed making a few of your protein bar recipes together with you when you were here for a visit. The few glasses of wine we had while doing it, didn’t hurt either :)
My massage clients are now enjoying the fruits of our efforts and are raving about your recipes. One asked if and when you will be selling your protein bars. I think you have your first customer already!!!! Something to think about perhaps??? Great job on the website, I know how hard you worked on it, as well the recipes. You’ve only just begun! Keep up the great work! Yours forever……..Mom

    • Thanks mom, I really enjoyed making my protein recipes with you too! Also so glad for you to share them with your clients :) We’ll have to have another protein baking weekend again soon!
